Beetroot is a Food Item added in Update 0.8.0. It is directly obtainable by finding it planted in Village farms.

Trivia
- Beetroots can be used to Breed Pigs, however Pigs won't follow the player while he/she is holding them. They will be attracted towards Carrots and Potatoes, however.
- Their Seeds used to be obtained by tilling the ground with a Hoe; however, they were very hard to find this way.
- As of Update 0.12.1, Beetroot crops can be found growing in Villages, making them more common to find.
- Beetroots were originally exclusive to PE, before they were added to PC in 1.9.
