Birch Planks are a type of wood added in the Update 0.8.0 of MCPE. They are crafted by using Birch Woods blocks. Each block creates 4 planks.
Crafting
- 1 Birch log will make 4 Birch planks.
- 6 Birch planks will make 4 Birch stairs.
- 3 Birch planks will make 6 Birch slabs.
- 4 Birch planks will make a crafting table.
- 2 Birch planks will make 4 sticks.
- 3 Birch planks and 2 sticks will make a wooden pickaxe.
- 6 Birch planks will make a door.
- 6 Birch planks will make 2 trapdoor.
- 8 Birch planks will make a chest.
- 2 Birch planks and 4 sticks will make a birch fence gate.
- 4 Birch planks and 2 sticks will make 3 birch fence.
- 5 Birch planks and 1 Wooden Shovel will make 1 boat.
- 3 Birch planks and 3 wool will make 1 bed.
- 6 Birch planks and 3 books will make 1 bookshelf.
Trivia
- Before 0.8.0, when crafting Birch into planks, you would recieve Oak Planks.
- As of 0.10.0, Birch planks are used in crafting birch fences and gates.
