Usage

Ender Chests function similarly to Chests, but any Item placed in one will be accessible from another Ender Chest. Additionally, an Ender Chest has separate interfaces for every Player so Players cannot steal each others' items.

To be picked up the Player must use a Silk Touch enabled tool, or else only 8 Obsidian will be dropped.

Trivia

  • Ender Chests are good for creating checkpoints so the Player doesn't lose his/her Items upon death.
  • It was officially stated at Minecon 2013 that Ender Chests were planned for a future update of MCPE.
  • Unlike normal Chests, when the Player puts another Ender Chest next to one, it will not expand to make a Double Chest.
  • When broken, Ender Chests will not drop the items stored in it.
  • Ender Chests can be placed in the Overworld, Nether, or The End and still work in different Dimensions.
