Update 0.9.0

Lava Pools are Generated Structures that were added in Update 0.9.0. They are, as their name suggests, pools of Lava. Although they can be found above ground, Lava Pools are much more common underground. 

Lava pools typically spawn bordered with Stone, most commonly in Deserts

Danger

Lava Pools pose a threat to the Player, as well as the terrain. It can often set nearby Trees on Fire and Players may carelessly wander into it, often dying and losing their Items

Trivia

  • Similar to the sea level at level 62, there is a Lava level at 11, making this a safe level when mining for Diamonds which are most prominent in the levels 5 through 12.
  • Lava Pools can spawn at any level, but not as frequently as on the Lava level.
  • Coal Ore is more likely to spawn around Lava Pools than any other Ore.
