Leaves are translucent green Blocks that naturally generate on Trees and were added in Pre-Release. Leaves are flammable, and can be easily destroyed by hand as well. They cannot float for long as they will soon decay.
Types
There are 6 types of Leaves:
- Oak
- Birch
- Spruce
- Acacia
- Jungle
- Dark Oak
Obtaining
Leaves can only be obtained when using Shears. Another way to obtain them is if the Player uses a Silk Touch Enchanted Tool. If broken by hand, they may drop Saplings but most often they will not drop anything.
Trivia

- Leaves will never drop Saplings when sheared.
- Only Oak Leaves can drop Apples.
- Version Exclusive: Leaves in Taiga Biomes appear to be 'frost-covered'.

- Leaves are not see-through when Fancy Graphics are turned off.
- Dark Oak, Acacia, and Oak Leaves have the same texture. They are just different colors.
- Bug: If Pressure Plates, Top Snow, and Carpet is placed beside Leaves or Glass, part of the faces of the block appear invisible.
