Most Saplings have a 5% chance to drop when a Leaf Block is broken or decays. However, the chance is 2.5% for Jungle Trees. They can also be found in Village Blacksmith Chests.

Trivia

  • Saplings can also be used as a Fuel in a Furnace.
  • For Dark Oak, Jungle, and Spruce trees, when planted in a 2x2 square, Saplings will create giant trees of their respective types.
  • A Sapling needs 1-3 Bone Meals to grow.
  • Saplings cannot grow in dark or tight places, or in Flower Pots.
  • Saplings used to have an old texture but in Update 0.9.0 this was changed to the one that we have today.
  • Saplings can rarely grow into Fallen Trees.
