Anyways, if you want tabs that are different colours you'll probably need to use tabview, like I do. It involves creating a new page using an extension of your user namespace, for example User:Simpleeditor13/About Me. See my profile and here for reference. I'm not too sure about how the backgrounds would work, but someone else, probably Holroy, will be able to help you with that.
