Update 0.13.0

Weighted Pressure Plates are Blocks that were added in Update 0.13.0.

Obtaining[]

Weighted Pressure Plates can only be obtained by Crafting them.

Crafting[]

Usage[]

Opposed to ordinary Pressure Plates, which always gives a Redstone signal of 15, the output of a Weighted Pressure Plate will reflect the amount of Entities triggering it. The two variants of Pressure Plates differs in the triggering Entities.

Light[]

The "light" pressure plate is the gold pressure plate. Most Mobs alone can produce a signal when standing on it. Each entity on the Plate adds 1 to the signal strength. It requires 15 entities to emit a full Redstone Signal of 15.

Light Pressure Plates can also be activated by an Arrow or a Fishing Rod.

Heavy[]

The "heavy" pressure plate is the iron pressure plate. It will usually take more than one Entity alone to produce a signal. 11 Entities gives a Redstone signal of 1. It requires over 140 entities to emit a full strength Redstone signal of 15.

Multiple Arrows are needed to produce signal out of a Heavy Weighted Pressure Plate.

Trivia[]

  • Weighted Pressure Plates give out power for 0.5 of a second rather than 1.0 second.
  • When not activated, Weighted Pressure Plates will be 1/16 of a Block. However, when it's activated, it will be 1/32 of a Block.
  • Weighted Pressure Plates differ from regular Pressure Plates because a specific amount of entities standing on Weighted Pressure Plates are required to produce power, unlike in normal Pressure Plates.
