Wool is a weak resource mainly used for decoration and for beds. It is not very hard to find and is considered semirenewable.

Obtainability

The main method of obtaining wool is by either by killing sheep or pressing and holding with Shears on them. Wool can also be crafted out of 4 pieces of String, which can be obtained from Spiders by killing them.

Uses

As stated above, wool is mainly used for decoration. This is because it can be dyed a wide variety of colors. Wool can also be used to make Beds. If you have wool of a different color, it will not change the bed's color. In the creative inventory, all colors of wool are available. Some sheep have natural colors of wool, such as brown, white, and various shades of grey. Pink wool occurs, but very rarely. Only white wool can be colored. It can be used to make Carpet, and only Red wool can be used in Survival.
